Meet Dr. Laura Willis
The Only Job She’s Ever Had
Dr. Laura began her career in chiropractic at the age of seventeen. She got a job as a chiropractic assistant while she was in high school, and she kept that job all through college. Every day, she saw people come into the office with pain or dysfunction and leave feeling and moving like a whole new person. She wanted a life filled with purpose, and she realized that helping people with something as personal and important as health fit that bill.
She attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles, where she met her husband, Dr. Mike. After receiving her Doctor of Chiropractic in 1988, Dr. Laura and Dr. Mike opened their first practice in Westlake Village. They moved their practice to Simi Valley for twenty-three years before moving it back here to be closer to home.

Dr. Laura’s orientation was always nervous system-based, and that core belief has only gotten stronger over her three decades in practice. When your nervous system is working better, you can enjoy better health. But when your nervous system is working optimally, you can enjoy extraordinary health and an extraordinary life.
Providing the best chiropractic care and working with patients to create lifestyle changes to support the health they want still motivates Dr. Laura after all these years. It’s gratifying that the career she began as a part-time high school job gives her the opportunity to help people live their very best lives.

Helping In Other Ways
Dr. Laura’s passion for helping others doesn’t end when she leaves Thrive Chiropractic. She’s very active in Rotary Club Westlake Village Sunrise, where she is past president and was named Rotarian of the Year in 2019. She loves being outdoors, hiking in the Santa Monica mountains. She also enjoys working out and cooking, as well as spending time with her golden retriever, Riley the Wonder Dog… who is sometimes a little devil.
