Your nervous system controls every structure and function of your body, and to do that properly, communication between your brain and body must flow freely. Interference (also called subluxation) in the nervous system is caused by stress—physical, mental/emotional and chemical stress—that causes the bones of the spine to misalign or become fixated.
When your nervous system gets overloaded with stress, the subluxation is like a circuit breaker, shutting off the power. The result is pain or dysfunction because your body can’t sense the environment properly or act on messages from your brain. The physical manifestation of the subluxation is misaligned or fixated vertebrae. Our job as chiropractors is to detect and correct those misalignments to flip the circuit breaker back on and restore power.

Our Approach to Care
Our approach is to locate spinal misalignments as well as areas of impaired nerve function. We diagnose the underlying cause of your pain or dysfunction through our examination and INSiGHT™ scanning technology, which assesses your nervous system. Based on your needs and goals, we create a care plan tailored specifically for you.
Dr. Mike has a wealth of experience and knowledge to help him create the best plan for each patient, using a variety of adjusting techniques that include non-force techniques. Our primary adjusting techniques include:
- Diversified
- Koren Specific Technique (KST) (a non-force technique)
Using non-force techniques such as Applied Kinesiology and KST allows us to locate the primary subluxation and correct that, with other issues subsequently resolving on their own. We often feel like Sherlock Holmes, working to detect the root cause of your problem, rather than simply the manifestation of it. Millions of people get headaches (as an example), but our goal is to find out exactly why you get headaches, and when we discover the cause, we can create the right care plan to correct it.
